Registration for the preparations of this year’s Confirmation are now open for all Parish children who have previously received the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist within the Catholic Church. Candidates must be in Year 6 or above.
In order to enrol your child for the Sacrament, your attendance to the following commitments is required.
Rite of Enrolment Mass
Your child’s preparation for the Sacrament begins with the Rite of Enrolment Mass. Please attend one of the following Masses.
Saturday 9th August 2025
6pm St Christopher’s Church, Anglesea
Sunday 10th August 2025
9am St Therese Church, Torquay
Sunday 10th August 2025
11am Nazareth Church, Grovedale
Formation Evening
The Formation session is designed to bring parents and child together to
explore the meaning of Confirmation. It is imperative that parents and candidate only attend one of the following
evenings:
Time: 5.45pm for 6.00pm start
Venue: Nazareth Church, Grovedale

Time:5.45pm for 6.00pm start
Venue: St Therese Church, Torquay.
Celebrating the Sacrament
This year, Confirmation is held over 2 weekday evenings. Your school has nominated a Mass time to attend. Please confirm your attendance to the nominated Mass in the registration form below.
Wednesday 3rd September 2025
5pm – Nazareth Church, Grovedale Nazareth Primary School
7pm – Nazareth Church, Grovedale St Catherine Primary School and Parish candidates
Friday 12th September 2025
5pm – St Therese Church, Torquay St Therese Primary School
7pm – St Therese Church, Torquay Lisieux Primary School
Levy
A $50 levy for each candidate is required to cover the administration costs associated with the Sacrament, and is paid directly to the Parish.

The Rite of Enrolment Mass takes place within the context of a weekend Mass with the rest of the parish community, at which candidates will be called forward for their prayer of commitment and blessing. Candidates and their families are asked to attend one of the following Masses.

Tuesday 12th September 6.30pm – at St Therese Church, Torquay (mainly for St Therese PS students)
Wednesday 13th September at 6.00pm – Nazareth Church, Grovedale (mainly for Nazareth PS students)
