Pentecost

When Pentecost day came round, they had all met together, when suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a violent wind which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages as the Spirit gave them power to express themselves.

What is the Sacrament of Confirmation?

The Sacrament of Confirmation is a Sacrament of Initiation, along with Baptism and Eucharist. It is the sacrament  which strengthens the work already begun in Baptism, and which is continually fed and nourished in the Eucharist.  It is a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit to the individual, transforming them into Apostles, capable of living the works of the Gospel rather than simply being hearers of the Gospel.

Celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation in our Parish

Confirmation is usually celebrated in Year 6 for young people in our Parish schools. These youth will undertake a program of formation during that year of education.
Other young people wishing to celebrate Confirmation will also undertake a program of formation prior receiving the Sacrament. Please make contact with the Parish Office, for more information.
