Nazareth Catholic Parish Sacramental Preparation Program is for students who do not attend one of our 4 Catholic primary schools (Nazareth Catholic School, St Catherine’s Catholic School, Lisieux Catholic School or St Therese Catholic School) and wish to celebrate the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. Our parish covers the areas of Grovedale, Armstrong Creek, Torquay and Anglesea. This Sacramental Program is for those children who are not attending a Catholic Primary school, reside within our parish and have been baptised into the Catholic Church. The preparation program is held on Tuesday afternoons at 4.30pm – 5.30pm and is run in support with our parish priest and volunteers.
Sacraments for 2024
Reconciliation
For children who have been baptised Catholic. The Sacrament of Reconciliation begins with a Rite of Enrolment Mass on Saturday 2nd March/Sunday 3rd March at any of our 3 Churches.
Family evening is on Tuesday 5th March at 6pm at St Therese Church, Torquay
The preparation program will run on these dates from 4.30pm to 5.30pm Tuesday 12th March, Tuesday 26th March, Tuesday 16th April, Tuesday 23rd April, Tuesday 30th April.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation celebration will be on Tuesday 7th May at St Therese Church, Torquay.
Registrations for 2024 have closed, any new enrolments will be for 2025
First Holy Eucharist
For children who have been baptised Catholic and received the Sacrament of Reconciliation The Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist begins with a Rite of Enrolment Mass on Saturday 4th May/Sunday 5th May at any of our 3 Churches.
Family evening is on Thursday 16th May at 6pm at St Therese Church, Torquay
The preparation program will run on these dates from 4.30pm to 5.30pm Tuesday 21st May, Tuesday 28th May, Tuesday 4th June, Tuesday 11th June, Tuesday 18th June.
The Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist celebration will be on Sunday 23rd June.

Confirmation
For children who have been baptised Catholic and received the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Eucharist
The Sacrament of Confirmation begins with a Rite of Enrolment Mass on Saturday 17th August/Sunday 18th August at any of our 3 Churches.
Family evening is on Tuesday 3rd September at 6pm at St Therese Church, Torquay
The preparation program will run on these dates from 4.30pm to 5.30pm Tuesday 30th July, Tuesday 6th August, Tuesday 13th August, Tuesday 20th August, Tuesday 27th August, Tuesday 3rd September and Tuesday 10th September.
The Sacrament of Confirmation celebration will be on Tuesday 17th September at St Therese Church, Torquay 5pm.

**Attendance to the preparation classes is compulsory, if your child is going to miss a class due to school camp please advise the parish office at the beginning of your program.
Sacrament Preparation Program Fee
Each family is asked to pay a Sacramental Preparation Program fee. This goes towards the ongoing support of the Sacrament program including but not limited to administration, resources, cleaning and priests stipend.
$150 for 1 child in the same program
$200 for 2 children in the same program, an additional $50 for each child there after.
OR
$100 per child from our non Catholic schools
