I am writing to you to see if your Parish Community would like to support blood donation this Christmas, as Geelong needs more blood donors to ensure our blood supply remains where it needs to be. I understand that this a very special time of the year, to celebrate the joy of Christmas, but sadly there are still many patients right across Geelong (and Australia) that will be relying upon blood donations this Christmas. For this reason, our local Blood Donor Centre will remain open and needs 460 more blood donors between 26 December and 2 January. The need for blood never takes a break!

Patients right across Geelong (and Australia) will be relying upon blood donations this Christmas; blood will be needed by road accident patients, pregnant mums, cancer patients and even premature babies. The need for blood does not take a break.
If you cannot make it in in December, the need continues in January, so please book your appointment to give blood then.
